Just wanted to give you all a little update on what’s been happening here since our move. It’s been such a crazy month between moving, vacations, shoots and just life in general. We are all moved in and operational again which is a big relief. Not to mention super behind on blogging. Getting caught up is my next mission. I have also been planning our next adventure, New Zealand. So all in all it’s been hectic here. But don’t worry that means lots of posts. On deck is a wedding we shot in the end of July. Just wanted to give you a taste of what’s to come. ENJOY!
SNEAK PEAK {UPDATE}
NICK & LYNDSEE {ENGAGEMENT}
Sorry everyone for the blogging hiatus. It has been really crazy here with our move. Now that we are all settled in we can get back to work finally. July has been crazy for us with engagements, bridals and weddings all to be posted soon. But for now enjoy this engagement session we did back in beginning of July.
We pulled up to our first location to shoot only to find that the gate to the park was closed. We were really excited to shoot there but who knew that a city park would close at 5 on a Saturday?? Lyndsee and Nick being the amazingly flexible people they are were up for a new location. We drove up the street to a near by park and our shoot began. I love Southern California so much, there is never any shortage of warm diffused light. Lyndsee and Nick were really enjoyable to shoot. They had great chemistry and you could just tell they were excited to be getting married. They also brought along their little pug Bella. Anytime Nick and Lyndsee were out of her view she would whimper for them. She was just so darn cute!
Well enough of my chattiness. Meet Nick & Lyndsee!! Stay tuned for their wedding later this month!

MOVING……AHHHH!
Well I guess it’s time to officially announce that were moving!! Yes, we know that were absolutely crazy to move right in the middle of wedding season but is has to be done. Matt is graduation with his PhD this year which means bye bye to UCI graduate housing. We are really excited for our new place. It has so many things that we don’t currently have… like a dishwasher and air conditioning. Oh how I can’t wait to not have to hand wash millions of dishes after we have guests over. I guess it’s just the simple things that make us happy. Not to mention that Matt is ecstatic to have a garage. What that means for me…no more bikes in my living room…YES!!
Here are a few things I have already purchased from Anthropologie for our kitchen. I can’t wait to put them on our new pretty countertops.

And this is what Matt is looking forward to putting in his new garage.

Can you tell we are excited to move!! We will be out of the office for the rest of the week. I’ll update you with photos of our new place after the move!! Have a great week.
HAPPY {4th of JULY}
Happy 4th of July!! Here is a sneak peak from an engagement session we did yesterday!!

ALBUMS {KISS}
We just wanted to let you all know how much we LOVE KISS Wedding Books. Our studio currently uses Kiss Wedding Books for all of our sign-in albums. These albums are a creative way to show off your engagement photos and a unique way to have your guests leave more then just the traditional signature in your sign-in album. Check out our latest sample sign-in book we received from KISS.
We decided on a 8 x 8 album with a red leather cover because I wanted something bright and fun. Kiss makes a ton of unique colors and sizes. Colors include Passion Pink, Forbidden Green, Redlight Red and Virgin White in addition to traditional Black & Brown.

We love KISS!!
EMILY & STUART {ENGAGED}
Meet Emily and Stuart. We had such a fun time shooting with these two in the Oak Canyon Nature Center. I’m not going to lie I was really excited to meet these two for the first time at our shoot. I actually met Emily’s parents at out client meeting, and had only spoke with Emily over the phone. Needless to say I was really exited to put faces with the names. Staurt and Emily were such a blast to shoot with. They were fun and easy going and you could just tell that they were SO in LOVE. Plus they were such troopers fending off the loads gnats in the Nature Center. We can’t wait for their Yorba Linda wedding in July.

SNEAK PEAK {Happy Memorial Day}
Happy Memorial Day!! Here is a little sneak peak from an engagement shoot we did on Saturday.

FAITH
Well we have lots to post in these next couple of days. But since their not quite ready to be posted I figured I would give you somthing fun to lay your eyes upon. Faith was our very first kitty, we got her shortly after Matt and I were married. We always had animals at my house growing up, so since we can’t have dogs where we live we got a cat. Two cats to be exact. Aspen STONGLY dislikes my camera. I only have a few fuzzy photos of her in my collection. Maybe one day I will be able to get her on the blog.
A few weeks ago the OC register had a “That Darn Cat” photo contest. I thought I would show off our petite little black kitty, so I entered. Well needless to say we didn’t win. But I thought I would post a few from our little shoot we did.
This is Faith.

I don’t know if you can tell from these shoots, but she’s VERY lovable and a little sassy.

ZOEY {RUTH} LANCASTER
I would like to officially announce that today I am caught up on all my editing!! YAHOO!! It doesn’t happen often so I try to enjoy it while it lasts!! Now on to the post. As most of you know Matt & I became an auntie and uncle again on March 29th. Little Zoey is our second niece and she is just perfect. God blessed my sister with a happy and healthy baby girl. Can you tell I’m excited to be an Aunt again? I know that I can’t wait for the day when I can be a mom; but that will all come in God’s divine timing.
When we went to visit Zoey she was only a couple days old so most all of what you will see is here is her sleeping. She was such a cutie. I absolutely love her dark hair, she had quite a lot of it. We found this basket at Jamie’s church on our way over to our shoot. I think it worked out perfect. Enjoy!

She’s so CUTE!!

3 YEARS!!
I can’t believe it has already been 3 years since I married the most amazing man in the world. I never even dreamed or imagined that we would be where we are today. Matt will be graduating this year with his PhD…finally!! Although he has only been in the program for 5 years, I still can’t believe it. I felt like I would being living in UCI’s graduate housing forever. June 5th here we come!! We have 2 wonderful kitties that I just adore. Faith & Aspen thank you for keeping me company and protecting me while Matt was way on work trips. We don’t have any kiddos yet, but Lord willing maybe we can start trying next year. Our business is doing great, which I am SO thankful for. I never ever dreamt that I would love what I do so much. God has blessed us so much these last 3 years, I am can’t wait for many more to come!
Thank you to my amazing husband for putting up with all my hissy fits, frustrations and my so called PMS. You have been such an example of agape love to me. Thank you for showing me what it means to be a true servant, you inspire me to want to serve you more and BETTER! I love your silly quirks and your nerdiness. I love that your are super smart and that you never make me feel stupid. I love that you will do the dishes and the laundry just because you want to. I just love everything about you and I can’t wait to see what God has for us this next year. Happy Anniversary Sweetie!!
I just wanted to share a few of photos from our wedding day 3 years ago. We were blessed to have Amelia Lyon as our photographer. We still LOVE our photos!

I look at these photo’s and laugh because we both look so different now. We have both changed our hairstyles. Matt no longer has what I call his “prince charming” hair cut and I have dark hair and bangs. It’s fun to look back and see how much we have changed.
